In Princes of the Apocalypse, four corrupt prophets, called by the Elder Elemental Eye to serve, have risen from the depths of anonymity to claim mighty weapons with direct links to the power of the elemental princes. Each of these prophets has assembled a cadre of cultists and creatures to serve them in the construction of four elemental temples of lethal design. It is up to adventurers from heroic factions such as the Emerald Enclave and the Order of the Gauntlet to discover where the true power of each prophet lay, and dismantle it before it comes boiling up to obliterate the Realms.

I am absolutely loving this campaign so far – we’ve only just started but I’m so invested already. It’s definitely a steady build but it’s ramping up and I am definitely here for it. As with all of the games I’ve played with Allison, I love the effort she puts in for her games on Roll20 including the map effects like lighting and all the details to the game that make it easier for the players like the long rest buttons and what not. She’s always so well prepared and I can’t wait to see where this campaign goes!
I have been in this campaign a good bit of time, and loved it. The combat is super tense, but never felt utterly hopeless which would crush me as a player. Allison did a lovely job of making each character feel important, and while I normally don’t like campaigns with lots of dungeons, this one oddly was good with each one feeling rather different and fun, in large part thanks to Allison’s lovely DM’ing skills. Along with that each NPC was voiced quite well by her, and to top it off she let us try out various things that were odd, and let us see how it goes.
Ten out of ten, do recommend.
