A Dungeons & Dragons introduction for kids ages 6 and up
Do you think your kids may be interested in D&D, but you’re worried the rules will be too much for them to take in? This fun, fast-paced adventure has the flavor of Dungeons & Dragons for kids who want to learn the fundamentals of the game. Monster Slayers: The Heroes of Hesiod does not require previous experience with Dungeons & Dragons.
In the village of Hesiod, where you all live, kids are brought to the cabin every year for several days to finish training in the ways of fighting, training which had started three months earlier. Fighting is a necessary skill in Hesiod, as the village is constantly being attacked by monsters. Even if you have no higher ambitions than becoming a pig farmer, you need to be able to defend yourself.
