Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

In Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, adventure is a dish best served cold.

Beneath the unyielding night sky, in a frozen land that hasn’t seen the sun for 2 years, you seek the solution to end this winter.

You stand before a towering glacier and recite an ancient rhyme, causing a crack to form in the great wall of ice. Beyond this yawning fissure, the Caves of Hunger await. And past this icy dungeon is a secret so old and terrifying that few dare speak of it.

The mad wizards of the Arcane Brotherhood long to possess that which the Frostmaiden, the god of winter’s wrath, has so coldly preserved—as do you! What fantastic secrets and treasures are entombed in the sunless heart of the glacier, and what will their discovery mean for the denizens of Icewind Dale? Can you save Ten-Towns from the Frostmaiden’s everlasting night?

Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a tale of dark terror that revisits the forlorn, flickering candlelights of civilization known as Ten-Towns and sheds light on the many bone-chilling locations that surround these frontier settlements.

This adventure advances characters from Level 1 to 12.

AJAX DM is the bomb! Our group has been playing together for a little over a year. Ajax took a group of strangers, matched us up, and created a wonderful-do-not-miss Saturday night! Once this campaign is over, we will sign up for another with her.

Speaking as a novice player, she is great at helping you understand the rules without losing momentum during gameplay. Her Discord set up makes out of game role play easy and she is accessible for any game questions. I highly recommend AJAX DM. Watch out, Matt Mercer….Ajax is here!

Allison is a great DM. She brings out the best in her players and makes sure that everyone has a chance to shine, both narratively and during the big fights. We’ve been part of this campaign for ~16 months and part of the reason is that the party is so good and has so much fun together. We’ve faced epic moments and crushing heartbreak together, and we’re still looking forward to more. That’s a tribute to Allison’s GMing. When this campaign is concluded, I’ll find another with Allison and as many Frostbreakers as I can. I feel lucky that I discovered Allison and am grateful for the friends I’ve made through her games.

Also! She has a very deep knowledge of D&D rules and lore and is an expert in the VTT Roll20, so even if you don’t know those things well, she has the knowledge to help you learn quickly and without pressure.

A great DM & a great campaign — we’ve had high adventure, uproarious comedy, and even romance to bring a bit of light to a cold and dark storyline. Allison makes our party’s characters feel like real people, and the choices we’ve made as a group have impact on the world she’s managing. I look forward to our weekly game, but even moreso to connecting with the friends I’ve made in our group.

Really enjoy Allison’s DM style. She encourages role play and encourages creative play.
