Curse of Strahd

Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. A lightning flash rips through the darkness, but Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind fills the midnight air. The master of Castle Ravenloft is having guests for dinner—and you are invited.

I first played Ravenloft (I6) back in the 80s when it came out. It was incredible. Curse of Strahd takes everything I like and just amps it up to 10! I love Ajax DMs voices for the characters and the ever looming threat (that she’ll follow through on) as the party navigates this strange and terrifying world. Get in on it if you can!

Allison is a fantastic DM for Strahd because she cares about both the party and how the material is presented to the party so they can get the best out of it. To be frank she scares the heck out of you. Listening to her narrarate is like listening to the scariest librarian read you a story. IT’S GREAT!!! Her command and consistency of rules also keeps me on your toes and makes me a better player and DM.

This is my first foray into playing d&d online. Allison has been a tremendous help with going through technical issues and making me feel so welcome!

Allison is an amazing dm. She keeps us guessing and intrigues us with her characters and storyline. She isn’t easy on us which I consider a huge plus. And she allows each of our characters to shine.

I also wanted to point out all the great people in the campaign. Allison gives us a forum where we can all come together and laugh or gasp in shock. I have made such great people because of her.

I would highly recommend Allison and curse of strahd for any avid player

I’m loving this campaign so far. It’s full of suspense and dread and she’s been able to tie our characters into the story a bit as she weaves it. She has some wonderful tools with this campaign as well as some beautiful maps that really help bring the setting to life – she also plays the characters and npcs wonderfully and helps set the mood. I’m loving this campaign and the people I’ve met and played with so far, I can’t wait to see how it ends!
