A book brings a number of puzzling organ transplants to life. This adventure takes the characters from Candlekeep to Tashluta, a tropical city, and from there into an unusual dungeon harboring a fearsome threat to their future well-being.
Characters are Level 13.
This is part of Candlekeep Mysteries as a greater adventure, or can be played as a one-shot (mini-campaign) game.
The set-up for this adventure was rather clever and unique and it brought in some personal stakes, and a section later on gives the players a chance to dig deep into parts of their character which can be trickier to do in one-shots/mini adventures. There was a good mix of roleplay and combat and a nice extensive dungeon crawl, the encounters were suitably challenging and some needed a bit of though to overcome. The overarching story that tied it all together was good and it was one of the more mysterious of the Candlekeep Mysteries series of adventures.
